The Anne Arundel County Fire Department has confirmed a chemical spill that happened on Fort Smallwood Road Thursday morning.
As of 11 a.m., crews were clearing the scene after determining chemicals had evaporated. Crews worked the scene for about an hour. The chemicals of concern included ferric chloride.
Fort Smallwood Road was closed for about an hour as emergency response crews worked the scene.
