The new Maryland Live! Casino opens tonight and is expected to cause heavy congestion on Route 295 and Route 100 throughout the weekend.

Construction is almost finished to help ease traffic flow near the casino.

Improvements to the interchange at Arundel Mills Boulevard and Route 295 is expected to be finished on June 11.

Travelers along Route 100 between Route 295 and Interstate 95 should consider using Interstate 695 or Route 32 instead.  People driving to the casino should use Ridge Road from the south or MD 176 (Dorsey Road) to Ridge Road from the north. The State Highway Administration advises through-traffic along Route 100 to stay to the left, so casino-bound motorists can exit to the right.
