PASADENA, Md. -
The Bladensburg police officer who died on Route 100 in Pasadena Saturday morning, killed himself police say.
Officer Brian Johnson, a nine-year veteran of the Bladensburg Police Department, was driving east on Route 100 when his police cruiser crossed the median and hit a car traveling westbound.
An autopsy determined that Johnson shot himself in the upper body and died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the other car was treated and released at the scene.
