ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Advocates are coming to Annapolis to back measures to protect animals. They will be urging lawmakers on Thursday to support several bills, including one that would crack down on puppy mills by requiring pet stores to disclose information about the dogs they sell.
Another measure would require someone convicted of animal cruelty to pay costs incurred in removing, housing, treating or euthanizing a confiscated animal.
Lawmakers are also considering legislation that would ban the sale, trade or possession of shark fins in Maryland.
