CROFTON, Md. (WMAR) - A 3-year-old girl’s time in the pool was cut short after she had a seizure in the water.

Anne Arundel County fire officials responded to calls, at the Crofton Country Club Pool, of a child that was near drowning Sunday afternoon.

Once crews arrived on the scene, they discovered that the 3-year-old had not been drowning, but having a seizure.

Anne Arundel County fire officials say the patient is being transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses say the 3-year-old was not under water during the seizure.
