ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -

A house fire in Anne Arundel County sent two people to the hospital including a firefighter, but both are expected to survive.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Michael Pfaltzgraff says the fire in the 900 block of Malvern Hill Drive was reported at around 7 a.m. Saturday.

It took firefighters about half an hour to bring the fire under control.

Pfaltzgraff says a 57-year-old man who lived in the house was transported to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, and a firefighter was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Firefighters are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
