The trick to winning the lottery

ORLANDO, Fl. - You need luck to win the lottery, at least that's the conventional wisdom.   But a Florida man says that's nonsense.

 He's won seven grand prizes over the years, including one jackpot for more than $800,000.

 And he says there's a method to his money-making.

Richard Lustig says first, set a budget, and figure out what you can afford.

If its ten dollars, he says buy ten one dollar tickets. But here's what's important.

“You buy ten tickets in a row of the same game, do not spread it out over three or four games,” he said.  “If you buy 10 tickets in a row of the same game, almost every single time you do that, you’re going to find a winning ticket.”

Of course, even with his advice, no one can guarantee you'll win the lottery.
