There is no doubt this is one of the worst flu outbreaks in recent memory. It's so bad, that it forced the entire shut down of one school district in Oklahoma.
Nearly a quarter of the kids in Kiefer have fallen ill. The district will do a professional cleaning at all schools; disinfecting water fountains, lockers and desks.
Officials hope giving kids the weekend to recover and keeping them away from each other will lessen the spread.
Meanwhile, parents of sick children are urging others to get their kids to the doctor.
Here in Maryland, health officials are getting ready for what could be the worst flu outbreak in a decade.
Nearly 24-hundred people have been diagnosed with the virus...and the season doesn't end until April.
