How far would you go to keep looking young into your 50s and 60s? Cindy Jackson is taking the quest for youth to extremes.
The 55-year-old Ohio woman holds the Guinness World Record for the most number of plastic surgeries. Jackson has had 52 procedures or $100,000 worth of facelifts, liposuction, eye corrections and botox. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find a part of her body that hasn't been surgically enhanced.
Jackson grew up with a short-tempered father and low self-esteem. When he died, he left her some money and the work began.
"It was like being in the wrong body and wrong face and I felt that very much and wanted to change it. I didn't set out to break or set a world record, it was never my ambition," she said.
Most recently, Jackson had her hands injected with a substance that stimulates collagen production to reduce prominent veins and tendons, and there may be more surgeries in her future.
She also runs a website , writes books and works as a cosmetic surgery consultant.
She said, "I just want to be beautiful and young. I feel like a young spirit and I don't want to look in the mirror and see an old face."
