WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is attending his third church service in as many days.

Today's inaugural prayer service is being held at Washington National Cathedral.

On Sunday, Obama and his family attended Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church before his official swearing-in.

The president and first lady began their day Monday with a closed service at St. John's Episcopal Church before the public inaugural ceremony. Visiting minister Andy Stanley told the president and others assembled that like Jesus, true leaders become servants.

Today, Washington National Cathedral Dean Gary Hall says the iconic church is hosting an interfaith service, combining elements of Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Sikhism. Obama, Vice President Biden and their wives plan to attend.

The cathedral says it's been hosting inaugural prayer services for presidents dating back to Franklin Roosevelt.
