No agreement in sight for fiscal cliff

WASHINGTON (AP) - The new week begins with no agreement in sight on a way to avoid the "fiscal cliff" of tax hikes and spending cuts in less than a month.

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner  told NBC yesterday that Republicans have to "tell us what makes sense to them" so that Democrats can "take a look at it." But House Speaker John Boehner, on Fox News, said that "there are a lot of items on the table" from the Republican side.
