New day of giving planned

WASHINGTON - After Thanksgiving, it’s all about the deals. There’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but have you ever heard of Giving Tuesday?

It’s a new push by hundreds of charitable organizations to get people to donate either their time or money on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

The event is relying on social media to get the word out, and is using the hashtag “Giving Tuesday” on Twitter.
