CLINTON, NC - A North Carolina mother is upset with administrators at her son's school after she says her third grader was strip-searched when other students accused him of taking a classmate's money.
Clarinda Cox says her son returned a dropped twenty dollar bill to a girl but several students accused Justin of taking the money.
Cox says the assistant principal took her son into the bathroom and told him to remove everything but his undershirt and boxers. The principal didn't find the money and apologized to Justin.
The school district says a male janitor was brought in as a witness and they believe proper procedure was followed.
