Man goes to jail because he can't stay at his home

WENATCHEE, Wash. - A Washington state man got his wish -- to spend the night in jail. KPQ reports the 28-year-old waved down a police officer -- to confess he smashed the window of a parked car.
The man told police he had gotten into a argument with his girlfriend. So, he needed a place to stay on a night when temperatures dropped into the teens.
Police say the man was booked into jail on suspicion of malicious mischief.
