CHANTILLY, Va. - JetBlue Airways says a flight from Boston to the Dominican Republic had to land in the Washington, D.C., area because of an unruly passenger.
JetBlue spokesman Mateo Lleras says Flight 691 was diverted to Washington-Dulles International Airport because of an unruly customer and landed at 1:13 p.m. Friday.
Lleras says the Transportation Safety Administration and local law enforcement were notified and the unruly customer was taken into custody. He says he can't be more specific about what the passenger was doing.
No one was hurt. Lleras says the flight continued to Santo Domingo just before 2 p.m.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority says he did not know why the flight had been diverted
