ATHENS - When it comes to handwriting, today's kids are all thumbs. Georgia educators say learning to write in cursive is disappearing.
Cursive isn't listed anywhere in the new curriculum Georgia teachers may start using next school year. Many
students prefer typing on their computers or even texting with their thumbs.
Clarke Middle School English teacher Ellen Jackson tells the Athens Banner-Herald when kids do write by hand, it's
often in printed block letters.
