Heading to the Inauguration? The Metrobus is one of the best ways to get there.
Please note that 50 Metrobus routes will be changed on Inauguration Day. The WMATA says that buses traveling near the National Mall will display a sign in the windshield telling you it is going to the Mall.
Metrobus will operate on a normal weekday schedule before the Inauguration, and then on a P.M. rush hours schedule in the afternoon. Traffic will be stopped before the National Mall, so you may have to switch buses to on the other side.

The WMATA recommends the following bus service corridors for getting into the National Mall Area:
- 31, 32, 36, 37 Wisconsin Ave NW
- 52, 53, 54 14th St NW
- 32, 34, 36, 39 Pennsylvania Ave SE
- 96, 97 East Capitol St
- P17, P19 Oxon Hill
- 7Y Line Lincolnia/North Fairlington
- N2, N3, N4, N6 Massachusetts Ave
- 70, 79 Georgia Ave/7th St
- V7, V9 M St SE/SW
- 64 11th STreet NW
- 16Y, 16X Columbia Pike
- 42, 43 Mt Pleasant
- L1, 2 Connecticut Ave
- 80 North Capitol St
- A2, A6, A8 MLK Jr Ave
- 38B Wilson/Clarendon Blvd
- S2, S4, S9 16th St NW
- X2, X9 H St/Benning Rd
- A9 South Capitol St
- D6 MacArthur Blvd
- 3Y Lee Hway
