CHARDON, Ohio -

An attorney says a teenager accused of killing three students in an Ohio high school cafeteria a year ago plans to plead guilty.

Attorney Ian Friedman says 18-year-old T.J. Lane plans to plead guilty during a court hearing Tuesday morning. Friedman declined to discuss the details of the plea deal, which has been in the works for weeks.

Lane's appearance in a Geauga County courtroom comes one day before the anniversary of the deadly shootings at Chardon High School, east of Cleveland.

Lane is charged with fatally shooting the three students and wounding three others.

A judge had ordered psychiatric testing for Lane, and attorneys for both sides wanted the testing to determine if he is competent to stand trial.
