Giant pumpkin wins award

It’s a pumpkin that would make quite a few pies.

In the Safeway World Championship Weigh-Off, the winning pumpkin tip

ped the scales at just under one ton.

The pumpkin was grown in Oregon and the family transported it down from California for the event

They say the secret to growing a huge pumpkin is devoting one hour a day to it, as well as lots and lots of water.
