WASHINGTON -
The fiscal cliff legislation has put a delay on the IRS processing your tax return.
The start date is January 30, just over a week later than planned.
The agency had to wait to see if there would be any new tax provisions with the fiscal cliff bill.
This is not the first time the IRS has had to deal with late action by congress.
Two years ago, tax season didn’t open until mid-February because lawmakers were late reaching an agreement on many of the same issues.
