FLORIDA -

The first official commercial flight to the International Space Station lifted off from Florida.

About 10 minutes into the flight, the capsule separated from the rocket and was on its way to the station.

The company Space-X is behind the launch.

It’s the first of a dozen flights NASA contracted to Space-X to resupply the station.

The unmanned capsule is packed with about a thousand pounds of cargo, everything from low-sodium food kits to clothing and computer hard drives.

It’s set to catch up with the space station early Wednesday.
