NEW YORK - They are expected to be some of the safest cars in the world, but General Motors is recalling more than 38,000 Chevrolet Impala police cars.
The company says a part in the front suspension can fracture and cause a crash.
The recall affects cars from 2008 through 2012.
GM says impalas sold to the public have different suspension parts and are not affected.
