Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor has denied a request to block part of Obamacare.
It's the part of federal health-care law that forces companies to cover contraceptives, including the morning-after pill.
Several companies filed suit to block the mandate from kicking in on January 1st.
They argued the contraceptive mandate interferes with their religious belief against pre-marital sex and abortion.
They say they must decide whether to violate their faith or face a daily $1.3 million fine if they ignore the law.
Sotomayor ruled the applicants failed to meet the standard for exemption.
