PORTLAND, Ore. - They met on the internet. She is a dental hygienist, he is a retired dentist. She thought she would find a husband, instead she got herpes.
The woman says the first time they had sex, she asked him to wear a condom, but the next things she knew he wasn’t wearing one and it was too late.
Then, after the fact, he broke the news; he had herpes.
She kicked him out of her house, and decided to sue.
To make matters worse, she had a bad reaction to the medication. She lost chunks of her hair and gained 30 pounds.
The jury deliberated for two hours before reaching a verdict. The retired dentist must pay her $900,000 over 30 years.
