WASHINGTON - Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier says 13 men have been indicted on conspiracy and other charges in murders and other violent crimes in a street gang rivalry.
The indictments were returned Tuesday and announced Wednesday.
One indictment charges four men from one gang with plotting to attack members from another area.
The indictments include charges from shootings in April and May, including two slayings.
Lanier says five of the suspects were already in custody.
The others have been arrested.
