Suspension for 6 months with terms and conditions; if suspension is lifted, probation for a minimum of 5 years with an on-going prescribing restriction and additional terms and conditions. The Board found that the physician prescribed drugs for illegal or illegitimate medical purposes, is guilty of unprofessional conduct in the practice of medicine and that he is professionally incompetent to practice medicine. The physician repeatedly prescribed high-dose opioid medications in the absence of medical necessity.”
