Local Democratic Party leaders in Baltimore have nominated activist Nina Harper to replace the late Hattie Harrison in the House of Delegates. The Baltimore City Democratic Central Committee sent Harper's name to the full central committee as the nominee to represent the 45th District.

 

Also, if you need to update your kitchen or get a new washing machine, today is the day to do so.  You have one more day to take advantage of a tax break on certain appliances.  It's a promotion for tax-free weekend, and it ends today!  The list of products is already available on the comptroller's website.
