Timonium, Md. - Yet another doctor with ties to a suspected Timonium pill mill has had his license suspended.  According to discipline records posted by the Maryland Board of Physicians, Dr. Daniel R. Alexander's license has been summarily suspended as of August 8th.  He is the fourth medical practitioner associated with the Healthy Life Medical Group to have action taken against his license.

Board records show Alexander began working at the Healthy Life on York Road in Timonium in September 2011.  According to the Board of Physicians, Alexander was included in an investigation into prescribing practices the board was notified about during 2011.  Specifically, records show a pharmacist notified the board with concerns after noticing numerous oxycodone prescriptions for Alexander's patients, who were from Ohio.

The Healthy Life location in Timonium was raided by local, state and federal authorities on May 15, 2012.  Three operators of the clinic who were not physicians were arrested and indicted in Baltimore County.  Alina Margulis, Gerald Wiseberg and Michael Reznikov are slated for criminal trial on drug conspiracy charges in Baltimore County in November.

Two physicians, Dr. William Crittenden and Dr. Michael Durry, and a physcians assistant, Marina Gadjuko, who all had ties to Healthy Life, had their licenses suspended due to their unprofessional practices, according to the board.

In its report citing Alexander's suspension, the board says he violated quality medical standards by, "failing to recognize obvious red flags presented, i.e., out-of-state patients traveling long distances to Maryland for pain treatment and making cash payment only".
