CENTREVILLE, Md. - The first criminal case against the Annapolis man accused of taking hundreds of dollars from local schools and PTA groups has hit a snag.  Joseph Gill was scheduled for trial Friday on charges of theft in Queen Anne's County. But the State's Attorney there says the case has been moved to the inactive docket.

Joseph Gill is accused of taking money upfront from dozens of local schools and PTA groups for anti-bullying assemblies that were supposed to feature players from the Ravens.  PTAs from Sudlersville Elementary and Centreville Middle School in Queen Anne's County were among those impacted.  Those groups say Gill didn't deliver on his promises but kept their money after to failing to provide the players.

According to State's Attorney Lance Richardson, Gill's case has been moved to the inactive docket while prosecutors wait for Baltimore County to finish their investigation.  Richardson says that county's evidence is relevant to the case in Queen Anne's County.

Gill has been released from custody in Queen Anne's County and taken to Charles County to face outstanding warrants there.  He is also wanted in Saint Mary's County and in Virginia.  We contacted Gill's attorney, a public defender, for comment but did not get a response.
