CLARKSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police say hunters accidentally shot out the window of a daycare center in
Police said no one was injured in the shooting about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday and the hunters, who were hunting with shotguns, were farther away than the 150 yards required by law. Six children, two workers and a parent were in the daycare center at the time. Police said employees took the children into a bathroom in the building after hearing gunshots and shattering glass. Police say a subsequent search of the area found two hunters had shot a deer several hundred yards away.
