Police say a suspect shot at a car twice shortly after 7:00 PM Wednesday hitting the driver's side door.
The bullet just missed a 17-month-old child who was in a car seat in the back .
Authorities say it all started when the suspect started tailgating a driver on West Irvin Avenue.
The driver who was being tailgated then got out his car and confronted the suspect. The suspect sped off and the other driver chased the suspect to get a tag number.
The chase ended at a railroad underpass on mitchell avenue when the suspect fired two shots out of the window.
