Police are investigating the death of a 5-month-old infant at a Citicorp daycare center near Hagerstown.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says ambulance workers found the child in cardiac arrest when they responded around 3 p.m. Wednesday to a 911 call that the infant wasn't breathing.
Police say attempts to resuscitate the child in the ambulance and at Washington County Hospital failed.
They say daycare workers at the credit services center told police the infant was behaving normally before the child was found lying on its stomach and not breathing.
