If you have a kid who is crazy about "The Princess and The Frog" -- here's something to be careful about.

A new study has found that some Chinese manufacturers who have been told to get rid of lead have substituted cadmium -- which is an even more dangerous heavy metal.

An Associated Press investigation finds that pendants from four "Princess and the Frog" necklaces bought at Walmart contained between 25 and 35% cadmium.

The Walt Disney Company says in a statement that the test results from the manufacturer shows they complied with all applicable safety standards. A spokesman for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, which regulates children's products, says the agency "is opening an investigation" and "will take action as quickly as possible to protect the safety of children."

Cadmium is a known carcinogen. Recent research shows that like lead, cadmium can hinder brain development in the very young, according to recent research.
