Sarah Thomas made history Saturday and became the first woman to officiate a college football bowl game.

Thomas was the line judge in the Little Caesars' Pizza Bowl in Detroit when Ohio played Marshall.

Thomas is one of five women officiating major college football games, but Pizza Bowl spokesman Tim Moore said she was the first to draw an assignment for a bowl subdivision post season game.
