BALTIMORE - Remember what you were doing one year ago today?  Things got a little crazy when the earth started to shake.

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit the east coast.

Its epicenter was just south of DC.

A number of buildings and monuments sustained damage. Many are still being repaired today.

A new fundraising gift is expected to be announced today during a ceremony to repair the National Cathedral.

The goal is to raise $100,000 by midnight tonight to fix the cracks in the cathedral.

Repairs are now underway at the Baltimore Basilica.

It will take seven months and cost about $5 million

Regular tours are limited until the work is complete.
