Experts are issuing new screening guidelines for cervical cancer.

The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology now says women between the ages of 30 and 65 should get pap tests only once every five years.

The college continues to recommend a pap test every three years for women between age 21 and 29.

Doctors say even though women do not need a pap test every year, they should still visit their gynecologist for other health concerns
