We’re getting close. Sunday is the Race for the Cure in Hunt Valley. Thousands will be participating in the 5K run and 1 mile walk in honor of those who have been touched by breast cancer.
Registration is still open. You can register online at Komen’s website or show up on the day of the race to register starting at 6 AM.
Children are welcome at the race. But you’re asked to leave your pets at home.
Where does the money go?
Most of the money raised stays in Maryland to help with local grants in providing care for breast cancer patients.
This year’s theme is “Less talk, More action.” Komen encourages women to get their mammogram this year if they haven’t already.
The race starts at 8 AM, the race village will open at 6 AM. The best thing is to get there early because they’re expecting a lot of people.
