An important vote will be happen Thursday on Capitol Hill affecting women's access to birth control.

Democrats and Republicans are gearing up for a fierce fight. It all centers around President Obama's mandate that health insurers cover the cost of birth control.

The amendment would let employers opt out of covering health treatments like contraceptives if they object to it on moral grounds.

Republicans say it's needed to protect religious freedom.

Democrats argue the amendment is an attack on women's access to health care.

Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri proposed the amendment because of the law requiring health care plans to cover birth control without an employee co-pay.
