Could a simple injection help you lose belly fat?
Researchers at Ohio State are testing it out on mice.
An injection of heat generating cells in the stomach can turn bad white fat into brown fat.
Brown fat increases your metabolism, helping you lose weight.
The mice in the study lost about 20% of their belly fat in 80 days.
Losing the visceral fat stored in the belly is especially important, because that type of fat increases your risk for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other health problems.
