New York City's proposed ban on super-sized, sugary drinks has received a lot of criticism, but Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, and other diet groups are in support of the ban.
The diet groups join a list of physicians and elected officials who also agree the plan is a sensible way to fight obesity.
Opponents of the plan say the city is over-stepping its authority and limiting personal freedom.
The proposal is set for a September 13 vote at the city board of health.
