Many men may dread getting a prostate exam, but doctors say if you get regular check-ups it may prevent it from advancing. Researchers looked at 1,700 men and compared those before PSA testing began 20 years ago and those who've had it since. Doctors say what is far more common is the cancer spreads to the their bones or their lymph nodes. Doctors also found the majority of men who had PSA tests regularly had a better chance of living longer.
