BALTIMORE - International royalty and national stars were in Baltimore for the grand opening of the new Johns Hopkins Hospital building.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and members of the United Arab Emirates' royal family were among
the one thousand guests for the grand opening ceremony.
The ceremony marked the completion of one of the nation's largest hospital construction projects, a $1.1 billion dollar state-of-the-art building.
It features the Sheikh Zayed Tower and The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children's Center.
Approximately 300 adult patients and all pediatric patients will be moved into the new building at the end of the month.
The 560-bed building will be open to the public on May 1.
