Spanking linked to child aggression - Some people classify spanking as abuse but others say it's a standard form of discipline.
A new study says it can pose serious risks to a child's long-term well being.
Two Canadian child development experts looked at 20 years of research.
They found in almost every case, kids whose parents used physical punishment, were more aggressive later in life.
They also linked physical punishment to anxiety, depression, and drug and alcohol abuse.
The study is published in CMAJ, the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
