DENVER, Co. - Breastfeeding advocates are once again coming together to protest the treatment of one Colorado mom who was confronted for breastfeeding in a kiddie pool.

This past Sunday, Charlotte Dirkes of Alamosa, CO was at a local water park, Pirates Cove in Englewood, with her family when she started to breast feed her 10-month-old son in the kiddie pool.

She told a local reporter from KMGH in Denver, CO that she was asked to stop, cover-up, or go somewhere private because of complaints from other guests.

Breastfeeding advocates jumped on the story, pointing out the law allows breastfeeding mothers to nurse where they want to.

But opponents argued she could have breastfed somewhere other than the pool out of respect for other guests.

Because of Dirkes' story, about 20 mothers planned a "nurse in" protest at the park.

Pirates' Cove issued an apology to Dirkes saying they would use this as a valuable training lesson for staff.
