Baby boomers should get tested for Hepatitis C

Important news for baby boomers.
The Centers for Disease Control is urging anyone born between 1945 and 1965 to get tested for hepatitis C, which can cause serious liver damage.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, it can be treated if caught early, all it takes is a simple blood test.
Baby boomers are more at risk because blood wasn't regularly tested for the virus until the 1990's.
Hepatitis C can also be spread through unprotected sex, IV drug use, or unsterile piercings or tattoos.
It can even be passed on from mom to baby during birth.
Doctors say it's important to be tested because hepatitis C often has no symptoms.
