WASHINGTON, D.C. - New research says that a cup of coffee could provide a health benefit.

A new study by the American Heart Association suggests that drinking two eight-ounce cups of coffee a day gives people an 11-percent lower risk of developing heart failure.

That's compared to people who don't drink any at all. The study's authors say they think coffee lowers the risk for diabetes which in turn lowers the risk for heart failure.
