TOWSON, Md - Students at The Boys' Latin School of Maryland are gearing up for a fundraiser to help wounded American soldiers. It's part of a charity event called Shootout for Soldiers.
It's taking place June 14-15 at The Boys' Latin School of Maryland in Towson. The Shootout is a 24 hour lacrosse game with all proceeds going to support the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps U.S. soldiers.
The 24 hour lacrosse game uses the power of the lacrosse community to benefit those who lay their lives on the line to defend the United States.
This is the first year the event was started by Tyler Steinhardt, a high school senior. He has raised nearly $30,000.
