Students to shoot hoops w/ robots

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WMAR) - Students from Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania will be on the courts at New Town High School Saturday – shooting hoops with robots.

More than 20 teams will participate in the robotics event Rebound Rumble, used to test balance and precision of robotic creations.

Rebound Rumble is part of the Battle O’ Baltimore – Maryland’s first team-hosted off season FIRST robotics event.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at New Town High School in Owings Mills.

From the Beltway (695): Exit 19 for I-795 North. Take Exit 4 (Owings Mills Blvd). Keep LEFT at the fork following signs for Owings Mills Blvd South. Merge onto Owings Mills Blvd. Turn RIGHT onto Lakeside Blvd. Turn LEFT onto New Town Blvd. The school will be on your LEFT.
