Students compete in Marching Band Competition

BALTIMORE - The Community Connection Enterprise kicks off the Sounds of Thunder Drill & Drum Invitational at Baltimore City Community College on Saturday July 21st.  The event will feature 15 of the top drill teams and drumlines from across the country.

Most of the teams consist of youth and young adults between the ages of seven and 21-years-old.  The purpose of the event is to promote physical fitness, combat obesity and physical inactivity.  Organizers want to encourage children to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Teams will be judged on formations, precision and showmanship. The event runs from 5pm to 8pm in the Gymnasium at Baltimore City Community College at 2901 Liberty Heights Avenue.
