BALTIMORE - A student's personal loss leads to great things for other families dealing with Cancer. Rachel Ballatori was a Lacrosse Player and student at Johns Hopkins University when she got the news that her father had Cardiacangio Sarcoma.
It is a rare form of Cancer that attacks the bones. Her father passed away 13 months later, but the loss was especially hard for Rachel being so far from home.
Rachel and her Lacrosse teammates started the "Blue Jay-Stick It To Sarcoma Play Day last year to raise money for the Hopkins Sarcoma Program. The Second Annual Play Day will be held at the Homewood Campus on Saturday October 27th.
The team will take on the Women's Teams from UMBC, George Mason and Mount Saint Mary's.
